Thank you so much for today, it was really good to be outside and with a lovely bunch of people. Definitely felt like a pause from the demands of everyday life... ….which I think most people need!

Self-care is a phrase often heard, but perhaps it is something that seems unrealistic in our hectic lives. This nature based course, based upon the clear Forest School principles, gives you a chance to take time out for yourself. To build a connection with nature. Time in the wood will give you access to a unique form of therapy. Space for guided relaxation, also hammocks to lie in and tarps to lie on.

Forest School ethos is not burdened by specific timings or group focused tasks that is associated with Outdoor or Wilderness Experiences. Forest School is in essence about play, ‘student’ lead play whilst the Nature Based element will give opportunities to rest and recharge during moments that incorporate themes common to meditation and forest Bathing.

There is scope for time for yourself. Perhaps self-lead creativity, craftsmanship, collaboration and curiosity.  Each session I will provide a wide range of tools – saws, knives, peelers, bug hunting boxes, pens and ropes to tempt and enable you to explore your own curiosity and physicality. There will be firewood for fires for warmth and to cook on.

My role as the practioner is to guide both the group and individuals through the sessions. It is also important, that at times I challenge you to discover more about what you are capable. The time between each session enables time for reflection which will continue to give you a greater sense of wellbeing and emotional resilience. Friendships will be made and there will be plenty of laugher - No better way, perhaps, to spend your time.
